Mae Sot is a border town to Myanmar/Burma. It is located in the Tak Province. When you want to go from Tak to Mae Sot, it’s a 80 kilometer long trip thru the mountains.

After about 30 kilometers (from Tak coming) is a big market of some hilltribes – the Muser Market. There the hilltribes try to sell everything and get from the jungle: vegetables, mushrooms and of course flowers like orchids.

The street itself is well-known in Thailand for being one of the most dangerous streets, even when it is a well prepared street (at most parts they made now three lanes). The problems are the curves as Thai people don’t like curves that much. So there’s always a chance that you will suddenly see a big truck in front of you on your lane – but driving in the opposite direction!
